For Teachers

Daily Prayers for an end to the Coronavirus Pandemic

Today we pray for those teachers must find new and creative ways to teach their students, and to remain connected to them.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, Have Mercy.       Lord, Have Mercy.

Christ, Have Mercy.    Christ, Have Mercy.

Lord, Have Mercy.       Lord, Have Mercy.

Lord, Hear Us.        Lord, Hear Us.

Lord, Graciously Hear Us.     Lord, Graciously Hear Us.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

A reading from the First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians.

I give thanks to my God always on your account for the grace of God bestowed on you in Christ Jesus, that in him you were enriched in every way, with all discourse and all knowledge, as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you, so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you firm to the end, irreproachable on the day of our Lord Jesus [Christ]. God is faithful, and by him you were called to fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Word of the Lord.  Thanks be to God.

Let us pray.

Dear God, We know that the beginning of wisdom occurs when we recognize you as the source of all wisdom. You have given us all so many gifts. During this time of pandemic, help those who are now faced with teaching in new ways. Help those teachers who feel so much anxiety about technology and online learning. Help to calm their fears and worries. Help them to pray for their students. Help them to focus on you, the source of all wisdom, and to do their best. Help them to recognize the care and concern they have already given their students, and help them to know that they are never alone, for you are always with them in all they do. We ask this prayer in the name of your Son Jesus who lives with you and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.

May almighty God bless us, protect us from all evil and bring us safely to everlasting life. Amen.
