The Law, the Prophets, the Christ

Every Second Sunday of Lent we hear an account of the Transfiguration. Why is this? Why does it seem so important that we hear this story at least once, and if you go to Mass on the Feast of the Transfiguration, twice? It is because there are so many details in these accounts that if we do not take some time to focus on them, we miss them. We learn so much about Jesus, and how this event helps both the disciples and the Church. This edition of Going Behind the Word gives us Saint Leo the Great’s understanding of the importance of this event.
