A new #dominican saint: Saint Margaret of Cosello, OP. Saint Margaret was a member of the Third Order of Saint Dominic, born around 1287 in Metola, Italy, and died in Città del Castello, Italy, on 13 April 1320. Saint Margaret, pray for us!

Saint Margaret is great saint for her holiness of course. But she is also a great model because in spite of difficult circumstances caused by a disability, she grew in holiness instead of becoming bitter or cynical. She was abandoned by her parents and kicked out by nuns. She encountered the Dominicans who took her in and eventually welcomed her to become a member of the Third Order. I have come to believe we all have disabilities — some people’s disabilities are apparent, while other people’s disabilities are hidden. How is God calling you to be holy today?
