Friarly Homily: Christ is the Center: March 31, 2020

We are called to be faithful and to remember that it is Christ who is the Center of our lives. We cannot let complaints and bitterness take over the spot in our hearts reserved for God.

Fr. Simon-Felix Michalski reminds us that a little complaining can be OK, but what happens when it becomes bitter or toxic? We begin to lose our focus and our center in Christ. In the desert the Israelites complaining becomes bitter and toxic and they lose sight of God. We are called to be faithful and to remember that it is Christ who is the Center of our lives. We cannot let complaints and bitterness take over the spot in our hearts reserved for God.
