getting ready for Lent is about seeking to imitate the love of Jesus for others. He was ever so generous, emptying himself for our salvation. When he finds us, he helps us to realize that when we focus only on ourselves, there is never enough money, never enough pleasure, never enough fame.
Simon Peter comes face to face with the glory of God. He then recognizes his sinfulness. But he learns that forgiveness is not earned, but freely given by God.
I will not leave you orphans. God loves us, and he sends people in our lives to love us. What a gift and grace. In Day Three of this novena, help us to grow in love of God and neighbor.
We have been made by God in a way that makes us different from any other creature here on earth. We are made in God’s image and likeness. Today’s novena prayer focuses on how we need to allow God to make us more like him in grace.
