We have to go back to the beginning, to the creation of the angels to grasp the significance of today's gospel. The angels fell first. Then there was the challenge to God's authority by Adam and Eve. The only way to move forward in a holy and healthy way is to acknowledge our sin. All sin is about a broken relationship with self, God, others, or creation. Today Jesus shows us how it is he will heal our brokenness. And he shows us how to confront sin. We need to remind ourselves God is all-powerful.
