Today’s Reflection:
Any teacher will tell you that the most edifying moment of teaching is when a child learns and understands something for the first time. For parents I suspect there are so many moments when something done or said by a son or daughter is so awesome, you wonder where the talent came from.
When we encounter a young child or an adolescent, we should be filled with hope. Every time a child is born it is a powerful statement of hope, that God continues to love us and to create. We are so blessed when we can see this hope.
And yet, we know that far too many children suffer from poverty. Many do not live long enough to see adulthood. Many are not even born. How tragic that when God pours out to us this new and wonderful hope, we can disregard it. Can we give some time today to seriously reflect on Matthew 25, so that in every person we meet, we will recognize the face of God? As we continue this rosary marathon, let’s pray for all children and adolescents.
Today’s Intention: For all the deceased.
