Another reflection from my good friend, Msgr. Richard Lavalley, pastor of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Winooski, Vermont.
When we hear the “Word became Flesh” we often think of Christmas. But today, on the Feast of the Annunciation, we can come to appreciate more fully the love of God. God’s love, mercy, compassion and forgiveness came to us because of the YES of our Blessed Mother. Our Lady said yes. At that moment, when she said yes, she was greeted by the words of Gabriel, Hail, full of grace.
We take precautions for a virus we cannot see, smell, touch or taste. We know of the power of an invisible virus. Just imagine what we can do if we become agents of grace. We cannot see Christ either, but the power of grace and his presence is most powerful. Reflections from my friend, Msgr. Richard Lavalley.
My good friend and faithful priest, Msgr. Richard Lavalley, offers reflections during this crisis to his parish. I think they are good reflections for us all.
