Support My Dominican Province
While I am a little late this year, it is that time of year when I am embracing the mendicancy (begging) for the Dominican Order. Put simply, I love my Dominican Province of Saint Albert the Great.
I am currently living at our priory and novitiate in Denver. Thanks to generous donors, it is an newly expanded novitiate to accommodate better the steady increase in the number of novices each year.
These days are great days for the Dominicans! Having lived in the Studentate where the student brothers preparing for solemn profession live, I can attest to the high quality of young men we are attracting. So many in fact, that we need to consider how we can make it bigger! And our graduate school of theology, Aquinas Institute, continues to grow, educating not only our student brothers, but lay people, religious and clergy as well.
Our growth is evident in the purchase of a more appropriate priory to house the friars who do great work at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Center at Purdue University (St. Tom’s). We staff the St. Paul Catholic Center at Indiana University.
For over a decade in addition to the ministries I have held in the province, I have maintained this website with my homilies, resources and more. And there is much more I could share with you about this province and the exciting growth we are experiencing.
Those who have supported the province in the past will soon receive personal cards to make another gift to my Dominican Province. If you have not yet given, but would like to, you can either click the image above to give directly to my Dominican Province. If you would like to receive more information and would prefer to give through the mail, fill out your contact information below. Or, send me an email at thefriar@thefriar.org. Or both!
If you would like to subscribe to this website, simply follow this link.
On the friar, you can listen to our homilies (based on the readings of the day) and reflections. You can also ask us to pray for you or to pray for others. You can subscribe to our website to be informed whenever we publish an update.
