What’s the harm?: Homily for Friday, March 31, 2023

In today’s gospel, Jesus follows up on his claim to be the Son of God. For the Jew of his day the claim to be the Son of God would be dramatic indeed. But C.S. Lewis suggests that to evaluate that claim, we have to ask whether Jesus was a lunatic, a liar, or is Lord. And when we explore the answers, what harm is there in being open to Jesus speaking the truth about himself and being Lord?
