Don’t throw it out cause it’s old
There is a tendency in our age to look down on things from long ago. We can think that people who lived a long time ago are no where near as smart as we are. We call things antiquated, ancient and stupid. But Jesus reminds us today that with God, sometimes the old is right. Sometimes it is exactly perfect for our age. And at other times, not so much. We need the wisdom of the shopkeeper who can bring forth the old and the new from the storehouse and can toss out the things that are not valuable.
