This is, I think, the first time I have really witnessed hardship in society. My grandparents raised children during the Great Depression. There were high school students in the 1940s who were not able to graduate high school because they were called to serve in the military during World War II. Maybe this global pandemic is our invitation to become the greatest generation, and Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Queen is the perfect model for what we need.
