Why would Jesus ask the disciples to feed so many people? How is it they could have possibly fed all those people? Could it be he knew that by asking this, he was helping to make a point stick? As we listen to the readings between now and the Baptism of the Lord on Sunday, we recognize that when we are fed by Jesus we have then to share that spiritual feeding with others. In fact, when we encounter love we know it is always to be shared. It is why God creates, and it is why he calls us to eternal life.
